How Does it Feel?
By Jeneane O’Riley
Oh my lord. First things first: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I loved it! Faeries, enemies-to-lovers, science, and of course the handsome lethal villain. The perfect book to get me out of my reading slump.
This is the first book in Jeneane O’Riley’s Infatuated Fae series.
Callie Peterson is a scientist and I just love how she nerds out when it comes to animals and butterflies and mushrooms too. She uses her scientific knowledge and wits to get out of situations that she has to go through because of our villain, Mendax. The powerful shadow fae prince. He’s the bad guy, remember this.
Cliff, on the other hand, was annoying. I guess personally I don’t like when people try to down your knowledge and he seemed like that type of person. Getting mad that Callie wasn’t interested in him, hmph.
I can totally relate to Callie in being a scientist and nerding out. She definitely had me telling everyone about the monarchs and the Luna moths and I even got a book on mushrooms that was mentioned. (If you like informative picture books I suggest giving Entangled Life a go)
I couldn’t wait to know what would happen next every time a chapter ended and especially after the ending!
Now to the spicy. 🌶️🌶️
I give it a level 2 spice. Not a lot happened but it was enough and there were a few moments that still had me giggling and blushing. In the end, I still enjoyed every bit of it.
So if you love faeries and a bit of spice and a plot to a story, I recommend this book.
P.S. I can’t wait for the next one. Already preordered it on Amazon Kindle: What did you do? By Jeneane O’Riley book 2 of her Infatuated Fae series.
